Spectacular Day and Sparkling Evening

By Lisa; On a spectacular Saturday, September the 3rd, in Kansas City, Missouri, Visitation Catholic Church hosted the beautiful wedding nuptials of Matthew Thomas Moorman and Elizabeth "Libby" Nell Keenan. Father Don Farnan officiated the ceremony and the wedding and following reception was coordinated by Lisa Jones of Millie's Event Designs; www.millieseventdesigns.com

Congratulations to the newly married
Mr. and Mrs. Matt Moorman
The Guild, Kansas City's extraordinary event venue; theguildkc.com was the site for the over 200 family and friends that attended the sit-down dinner reception. The tables were decorated with beautiful custom centerpieces designed by Maple Lane Designs; www.maplelanedesigns.com. As the guests arrived they were treated to cocktails in a lovely garden area behind the main building. Upon the arrival of the bridal party, it was time to escort the guests into the dinning room and present the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Moorman.  The guests were treated to the delectable dishes of upscale caterer, KCMO PB&J; www.eatpbj.com. The first course waiting on the tables was generous helpings of baba ganoush with sourdough bread.  The second course was a baby spinach and brie salad topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries and blackberries, tossed in a vinaigrette.  The entree' was YaYa's campo lingo chicken, served with white cheddar potato gratin, fresno chiles, fresh garlic and caper berries finished with haricots verts.  The wedding cake was a white layer cake with creme chantilly and berries.  There was also a traditional groom's cake that was chocolate buttercream cake with cappuccino tiramisu mousse.  It was topped off with sculptured icing in the form of fresh BBQ chicken wings.

Once each table had been served their entree', it was time for Patrick Lentz, of the Patrick Lentz band to introduce the father of the bride, Joe Keenan to come up and give the traditional toast to his beautiful daughter. This was followed by the first husband and wife dance for the newlyweds. After the traditional father and daughter dance and the mother and son dance, the dance floor was opened to the guests to begin dancing to hit tunes and sounds of the Patrick Lentz Band; www.patricklentzmusic.com.

At the stroke of midnight, the guests formed two lines between the exit and a 1954 Bentley that was waiting for the couple.  The guests lit the way in a dazzling array of light as each had a large wedding sparkler.  The 1954 Bentley then whisked off with Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Moorman to their Happily Ever After.
